INTER Milan head into Wednesday's match at Atletico Madrid still reeling from a derby defeat to AC Milan and with doubts over their ability to handle big games under new coach Cristian Chivu.

Four wins from four have given Inter a strong chance of direct qualification for the last 16 of the Uefa Champions League, but the trip to Spain represents their first true test on the European stage. Inter's perfect record comes courtesy of victories over Ajax, Slavia Prague, Union Saint-Gilloise, and Kazakh minnows Kairat Almaty, but a far trickier run of fixtures lies ahead in the group phase.
After facing Atletico, Inter host Liverpool and English Premier League leaders Arsenal, before travelling to Borussia Dortmund in their final fixture. Last season, 16 points were enough to secure a Top 8 finish, meaning Inter will likely need to collect four points from those remaining games to avoid the playoffs.
