I am not a general fan of musicals, but I am glad I pressed play on this one. It is not only a musical masterpiece but also an excellent listening experience that more than meets expectations.
Based on an astonishing true tale, Dead Outlaw recounts the life of Elmer McCurdy, an early 20th-century outlaw whose tragic demise led to an even more bizarre afterlife as a travelling corpse.
After a botched train robbery resulted in unintentional fame, Elmer's remains took on a tangled journey through carnivals, wax museums, and even Hollywood film sets.
