Relegation looming for United after Orient loss

U'S FIVE POINTS FROM SAFETY WITH ONLY SIX AVAILABLE AFTER DEFEAT
CAMBRIDGE United moved to the brink of relegation from League One after they were beaten 2-1 by Leyton Orient at the Abbey on Easter Monday.
Josh Stokes had given United a first-half lead, but second-half goals from Charlie Kelman and Jamie Donley turned the game around for promotion-chasing Orient.
The result leaves United second from bottom in the table, on 38 points from 44 matches played, five points adrift of safety with two games remaining.
The U’s must beat relegation rivals Burton Albion on Saturday and champions Birmingham City on the final day of the season next weekend to stand any chance of beating the drop.
The Os remain in the play-off places with their victory, with Richie Wellens’ side moving onto 72 points from 44 matches played to stay in sixth place.
Neil Harris made three changes from the 2-1 win at Huddersfield Town on Good Friday. Danny Andrew, Sullay Kaikai and Ryan Loft came into the team for Liam Bennett, Elias Kachunga and Dom Ballard.
The Os had the game's first chance of note 12 minutes in, as Donley's free-kick was turned around the post by Jack Stevens.
