A COUNCIL partnership has seen 1,000 new homes built in Cambridge.
Cambridge City Council teamed up with housebuilder The Hill Group to address the city’s housing needs by delivering high-quality council homes, market sale homes and community facilities. The partnership reached its 1,000th new home on June 24 following the official handover of new council homes at Aylesborough Close, Arbury.
The Aylesborough Close development saw 36 outdated council homes replaced with 70 low-carbon council homes designed to the council's sustainable housing design guide, which make homes healthier and cheaper to run.
