Flint's mirror carp a rare catch of late at Swan Lake

WHILE reports of catches made from the Biggleswade & Hitchin Angling Association's Swan Lake have been somewhat sparse of late, David Flint landed a cracking mirror carp after daylight hours had faded.

Fraser Hayden continued with his quest for a big chub on the River Ivel fishing into the early evening.

His latest session produced two nice chub weighing 3lb 9oz and 4lb 3oz, both of which fell to his flavoured meat bait.

A netting was held at Gingerbread Lake at the weekend to remove some of the smaller silver fish.
