SC flags shortcomings in highway land relief

The Supreme Courthas flagged systemic shortcomings in the mechanism for determining compensation for land acquired under the National Highways Act, 1956, observing that landowners covered by thislaw are placed atacleardisadvantage compared to those whose land is acquired under other acquisition statutes.
