Home Affordability Improves in H1CY25 Amid Rate Cuts

House purchase affordability across the key Indian markets has improved in the first half of the calendar year 2025 (H1 CY25) as the Reserve Bank of India slashed the repo rate by 100 bps during the same period, according to Knight Frank India, a real estate consultancy.
According to the affordability index by Knight Frank, Ahmedabad is the most affordable housing market among the top eight Indian cities, with a ratio of 18 per cent, followed by Pune at 22 per cent and Kolkata at 2
