"WHAT are you watching these days?”

- SUSAN LEE

Streaming back to old TV friends

It used to be ‘how are the kids?’ or 'what's work like?' when my chums and I got together over a glass of wine. Now one of the first questions we ask is which series we're all glued to courtesy of the gogglebox

The trouble is there is so much content to tune into. Terrestrial telly, streaming platforms, YouTube. Our gang has even started a digital communal spreadsheet so we can keep track of each other’s recommendations.

Recently, though, there has been a subtle shift. Another mate has announced she has just re-watched all of The West Wing followed by The X Files.

Someone else I know is dipping back into Friends, a third swears by a bit of Doc Martin to cheer her up. And the other night I discovered to my enormous joy I could settle into all episodes of Hill Street Blues.
