TICKETS are now on sale for YMCA Burton’s annual Sleepout event, with the aim of raising £50,000 to fight homelessness.

- By JOSEPH RICHARDS

Taking place on November 7, the event will see participants spend the night sleeping outdoors to raise awareness and fundraise for YMCA Burton.

The Sleepout event is now in its 17th year.

Since it started in 2008 it has raised more than £480,000 to help those in our community who need it most.

All money raised will support YMCA Burton, who operate homeless outreach facilities, housing, foodbank, affordable furniture through their shops, and mediation and counselling services in the East Staffordshire borough area.
