IPSWICH AND WEST BROM NEXT UP FOR THE RAMS

- By JOSEPH CHAPMAN

DERBY County have their first point of the 2025-26 Championship campaign after Carlton Morris' third goal in three games dramatically rescued a point against Bristol City on Friday night.

The striker's 86th-minute equaliser for the Rams ensured it finished 1-1 at Pride Park Stadium.

Last night, the Rams turned their attention to the Carababo Cup as they travelled to face Premier League Burnley, promoted from the Championship last season, in the second round, which finished after the Mil,a's deadline.

We have lift off

The Rams are up and running at the third attempt this term - and the manner of this point against the Robins might spark some momentum for John Eustace's side.

There was a feeling of relief around Pride Park Stadium as Morris forced the ball over the line against the Robins on Friday night.

The feeling of ecstasy is reserved for late winners but 86th-minute equalisers like this - maybe when your side scarcely deserved a share of the spoils - are met with relief first and foremost.
