'Party on the Pitch' held in a bid to tackle second deadliest cancer in men

ANNUAL UTTOXETER LIONS EVENT OFFERS PROSTATE CANCER SCREENING
A 'PARTY on the Pitch' event was staged by Uttoxeter Lions to raise awareness of prostate cancer.
Held at Oldfields Park in Uttoxeter and sponsored by housebuilders Barratt and David Wilson Homes, the event provides an annual prostate screening and will be celebrating its 20th anniversary in 2027.
Prostate cancer is the second most common cause of death from cancer among men in the UK. Only lung cancer is more prevalent.
Uttoxeter Lions was formed in 1975 and is part of the world's largest service organisation with 1.4 million members. The Lions operate in 200 counties and support a variety of causes including humanitarian aid, the fight against child cancer, environmental protection, disaster relief and more.
