MP meeting tenants over castle plans

JACOB COLLIER KEEN TO SEE PUBLIC ACCESS MAINTAINED
THE Burton and Uttoxeter MP is to hold talks with new tenants who are teaming up with the Duchy of Lancaster to run an historic castle.
Jacob Collier, below, has been campaigning to find a new tenant since Tutbury Castle was forced to close last year when the previous tenants retired.
The Burton Mail revealed on Christmas Eve that the Duchy of Lancaster had announced a new partnership with Derbyshire-based hospitality group Bespoke Inns.
It will take on the lease of the historic site and plans to have it welcoming visitors again by the summer.
