HAT-TRICK HERO SHADE HAILS 'ONE OF BIGGEST MILESTONES'

- By STEPHEN PAGE

'I set myself the goal of going back home with the man-of-the-match award'

Tyrese Shade.

BURTON Albion match-winner Tyrese Shade said his FA Cup hat-trick against Brackley Town was “one of the biggest milestones and achievements” of his career.

The forward gave the Brewers a 13th-minute lead in their second round clash at St James Park, and after Michael Nottingham had equalised for the hosts in the 25th minute, Shade struck twice in the final 17 minutes of the contest to see the away side through the tie with a 3-1 victory.

Reflecting on his hat-trick, which was the first of his professional career, Shade told the club website: “I'm delighted. Most importantly, delighted to be into the next round.

“I kind of set myself a goal before the match, I said I want to go home with this award today (the man of the match trophy), so I put that into manifestation, and I’m glad to be taking it home.

“It’s probably one of the biggest milestones and achievements for me so far (his hat-trick), so I’m just still delighted.”
