A NEW £300,000 shared footpath and cycleway in Burton is set for completion.
The scheme on Shobnall Road also includes a new parallel crossing as well as upgrades to two bus stops, traffic signs and road markings.
It was originally scheduled for completion on Monday, September 1 but heavy rainfall delayed the final stages of the scheme.
Further hidden defects were then uncovered on approach to the new crossing, requiring more complex repairs.
Staffordshire County Council's highways crews worked over the weekend under two-way traffic lights to complete the remaining kerbing and footway works.
