Getting a smart meter sorted is something many of us have on our to-do list. It makes life easier by sending readings straight to suppliers and shows you how much you're spending on energy in pounds and pence.

Actually arranging to have one installed can feel like a bit of a pain, however. But as Johnny Vegas recently discovered, a smart meter installation is a quick and simple process that's well worth your time.
Johnny found out what happened during a real smart meter installation. Qualified installer Tom Hicks turned up at the scheduled time and explained everything that would happen.
