'Stomach-churning' Sick attack on prison officers

CONVICTED rapist who left two prison officers needing hospital treatment after attacking them with human waste has been jailed for a further two years.

Twisted Ian Ochieng, 32, formerly of Saltmarsh Drive in Lawrence Weston, was serving a 12-year jail sentence for rape when he targeted the guards with the foul mix at HMP Long Lartin in Worcestershire on February 28 last year.
A court heard Lewis Heal and Michael O’Hare had been on duty at the Category A prison when Ochieng walked towards them with a bucket from his cell containing urine and human excrement.
Without warning, Ochieng then poured the bucket over the two men who got the contents of it in their mouths.
Both men were taken to hospital for injections to prevent disease and the grim attack had a “devastating impact” on both victims, the court was told.
One traumatised prison officer said he could not hug his wife and baby for days.
