'Power of community ownership' Future of live music venue secured

A LEGENDARY music venue in Stokes Croft which was feared to have closed forever has secured its future after being bought by an Own Our Venues initiative.
The Croft in Stokes Croft has been bought by Music Venue Properties, dubbed 'the National Trust for grassroots music'
The Croft, which had previously been known as The Crofters Rights, has been purchased by the scheme, which is the brainchild of Music Venue Properties. Dubbed 'the National Trust for grassroots music', Music Venue Properties was originally created by the Music Venue Trust to remove venues from vulnerable leases by purchasing their freeholds and putting them in the hands of the community.
