GEMS GAMERS MAY HAVE MISSED FOR AN UNEXPECTED TREAT IN THEIR CHRISTMAS STOCKING THIS YEAR

AFTER the disappointment of 2024, this year has seen a wealth of incredible titles being released - so many, some may easily have skipped gamers’ attention.

Alongside some stellar games from the big studios, there have been some incredible titles issued from indie developers which are more likely to have been missed.

But what is the gamer in your life hoping to find wrapped up under the tree come Christmas Day?

And what game could they have missed that you could still surprise them with?

If they're too big to write a list for Santa, and you're seeking a little inspiration, then allow me to offer some festive suggestions.

Blue Prince

(PEGI 3) PS5, XBOX X/S, PC Price: £24.99

The indie gem caused quite a stir when it was released earlier this year.

Bequeathed the 45-room mansion Mount Holly by your great uncle, you're given a warning - find the mysterious 46th room if you want to keep it.

But there's a catch. At night, when the rules say you have to vacate the building, the rooms move around, effectively resetting your search.

The “centre square” of the search grid is the lobby, which has three doors you can choose to walk through.

Before you open a new door you are given a choice on what room you'd like to “draft” behind it - meaning you shape the mansion’s layout as you go.
