HOW TO MAKE YOUR WARDROBE FIT FOR PURPOSE

I was rushing to make my Pilates class earlier this week, pulled on the nearest leggings, squeezed into a sports bra and threw on a top.
As soon as I got in the car, I realised I was wearing my teenager's leggings. They're an identical colour, only mine are a high-waisted style, hers sit mid-waist on me which is uncomfortable and deeply unflattering. And because the leggings were low (and on the small side), I had a slither of mid-riff on show. To add insult to injury, the sports bra and top had conflicting necklines and straps that finished at awkward places on my torso.
I was fidgety throughout the class, hitching up my leggings, tugging at my top and fiddling with the straps. I couldn't wait to get out of there and remove the hideous concoction of four-way stretch.
