Ice hockey Bristol Pitbulls pull away in third period to beat Lightning

BRISTOL Pitbulls skated away with the two points on Friday night following a 5-2 win against the Milton Keynes Lightning in The Pound.

The home team saw the addition of both Bayley Harewood and Dylan Webb back into the lineup as well as Joe Malfatti, who made his debut appearance for the team.
Jacob White-Sey and Cam Hamill remained out of the lineup through injury, as well as Mason Lipsey, alongside both Josh Poole and Ben Scanlan, who were with Cardiff Fire for the evening.
Lightning opened the scoring early on in the first period, with former Pitbull Elliot Lewis taking the pass from Patrick Forsberg to weave the puck past Tommy Nappier, giving them the one-goal advantage.
