'Heavy heart' Much-loved Italian restaurant to shut after 40 years

BRISTOL institution Don Giovanni’s is closing its doors after delighting diners for more than 40 years.

Andy Firetto, head chef and owner of the beloved Italian restaurant opposite Temple Meads railway station, said the popular restaurant would closed in the new year.
“It is with the heaviest of hearts that I make this announcement,” Mr Firetto said.
“Due to circumstances beyond my control, my beloved Don Giovanni’s Restaurant will permanently close its doors on January 18, marking the end of an incredible journey spanning 44 years.
