Former Robins boss Manning sacked by struggling Norwich

NORWICH sacked head coach Liam Manning, the former Bristol City boss, following their late 2-1 defeat to Leicester City at Carrow Road.

The Canaries have now lost all seven of their home matches in the Championship this season, with another reverse coming in the Carabao Cup, as pressure built on Manning who departs with the side four points adrift of the safety line.
Sporting director Ben Knapper said: “We have tried absolutely everything possible to work through this incredibly challenging period but, unfortunately, given the recent run of results and performances, we have been left with no choice other than to make a change at this stage.
“We very much understand the frustration and criticism from our supporters at this stage. So far, results and performances on the pitch haven’t been good enough.
