DERBY MAKE BID TO SIGN VYNER

DERBY County have submitted a bid for Bristol City defender Zak Vyner, the Bristol Post understands, but the Robins are set to reject their Championship rivals’ proposal.

- Dan CARTER

As first reported by Sky Sports News, John Eustace's side are believed to have tabled a £1 million offer for City’s academy graduate who is entering the final year of his deal at Ashton Gate, but that has fallen short of the club’s valuation.

Vyner was one of three City players to play every minute of Championship football on offer under Liam Manning last season, alongside fellow academy product Max O'Leary and skipper Jason Knight. On top of his league commitments, the 28-year-old played the full 90 minutes against both Coventry City and Wolves in the Carabao and FA Cup, respectively.
