Bus route extended to link villages

Bristol Post

July 02, 2025

A BUS route is set to be extended to serve more rural communities after the axing of a “vital” village service. Campaigners said withdrawing the No84/54 service had caused “considerable damage”.

The Wotton-under-Edge route ran to and from Yate, across the county border into South Gloucestershire. The service was given a last-minute three-month extension in June but was ultimately axed in September after a contract to run it ended.
