Bridge to shut for weekend of repairs next month

A WEEKEND closure has been announced for Clifton suspension bridge next month. The September shutdown of the route is for vital refurbishment works.

Clifton Suspension Bridge Trust contractors are carrying out preparation and painting work to the land chains at road level and further scaffolding works. The bridge will be closed to all road users including cyclists from 7pm on Friday, September 5, to 7am on Monday, September 8.
