Athletics Millar looking forward to Valencia challenge after strong Liverpool showing
Bristol Post
|November 28, 2025
ALWAYS at home in the mud and muck, Jack Millar will be hoping to transfer the form he showed at Liverpool on to the Tarmac at the Valencia Marathon on Sunday week.
Millar had his best-ever result in the British Athletics Cross Challenge at Sefton Park last weekend finishing 12th and that has given him confidence ahead of his third marathon and second this year.
"I was very pleased with my run at Liverpool," said Millar.
"It is more difficult to compare with previous performances as they split the under-23 men from the seniors this year so that took out eight to 10 under-23s who might have been ahead of me.
"My best before was 20th in 2022 but I feel last weekend was a better race for me and I am happy with the way I ran.
"I started off relatively conservative, having blown up at Parliament Hill earlier this year and in Liverpool 12 months ago.
