American football Steelers win thriller to reach play-offs

IT was fitting that one of the most unpredictable NFL seasons in years went down to the final play of the final game to complete the playoff lineup in thrilling fashion.

Tyler Loop's missed field goal with the last kick of a wild game in Pittsburgh saw the Steelers beat the Baltimore Ravens to claim the final NFL playoff spot.
It was an epic finish to a final Sunday of the regular season which saw the Denver Broncos claim the top seed in the AFC and the Carolina Panthers clinch the final NFC playoff spot without even playing.
Jacksonville Jaguars won the AFC South, while the Philadelphia Eagles and the Chicago Bears both lost as the full playoff lineup revealed some mouthwatering games for next weekend.
