Concern is voiced over 'dangerous' pothole outside gym's entrance

Clearview Gym, owned by Virgin Active, is in Little Warley Hill Lane, Brentwood.

Gymgoers and staff are constantly complaining about a pothole located just outside the gym’s entrance, which has reportedly been there for years on and off, and is sometimes repaired - but ends up re-forming within months, it has been claimed.

Clearview duty manager Riley Dormer, 20, said that it has had “issues with the pothole” ever since he began his job three years ago.

Riley said: "At least once a year we contact the council for them to fill it, but the part that they fill ends up worn down year in, year out, which makes it dangerous for cars turning in and out with many members cutting the corner to avoid damaging their car, as well as passing traffic cutting on to the opposite side of the road to avoid it, creating high potential for collisions.
