VAN vroegoggend af het die klanke van swaaiende gholfstokke die lug gevul tydens die Far-North Midas Mokopane gholfdag wat verlede week op die pragtige groen setperke van Kameeldoring Gholfbaan gehou is.
Volgens Nicolaas le Roux, Far-North Midas-lid, was dit nie net hul eerste gholfdag nie, maar ook een van die mees indrukwekkende wat Kameeldoring Gholfklub al beleef het. Altesaam 120 gholfspelers, verdeel in 30 spanne, het in die koel oggendure saamgekom om mee te ding in 'n vierbalalliansie-beurtspel, 'scramble drive, two scores to count'. Die dag was nie net oor kompetisie nie, en 'n heerlike atmosfeer het geheers by die borgstalletjies waar ondersteuners en gaste bymekaar gekom het.
