Understudy can finally take a starring role when she lines up for the BetMGM River Eden EBF Fillies’ Stakes at Lingfield.

Winner of a Southwell novice on her second start in May, John and Thady Gosden took a brave route on her next start.
They pitched the daughter of Sea The Stars into the Ribblesdale Stakes at Royal Ascot.
Sent off a 40-1 chance in what was a weak renewal of the Group Two, Understudy outran her odds to finish second to Garden Of Eden.
That was a run which saw her rating lifted to 102, as well as being confined to Listed company and above.
