TC's fightback is foiled after a poor first-half performance

Thornton Cleveleys FC returned empty-handed from Wigan after Saturday's 4-2 defeat at Ashton Town in the NWCFL First Division North.
Manager Paul Gregory had rung the changes last weekend after the 2-1 Edward Case Cup defeat by Maine Road in midweek.
Ben Duffield started up front and Franz Eselbock returned in goal, but a change of system didn't help as the Reds trailed 3-0 at halftime before improving in the second period.
Eselbock was soon in the action, turning a third-minute effort away for a corner.
