Pool defeat puts an end to Ferguson's Peterborough reign

Darren Ferguson was sacked by Peterborough United after Saturday’s 2-1 defeat against Blackpool.

The result saw Pool move off the bottom of League One, leapfrogging Peterborough.
Chairman Darragh MacAnthony wrote: “I have made the decision to terminate Darren Ferguson's contract after today’s game. The decision wasn’t taken lightly but it’s a decision I feel is the correct one for the football club.
