No surprise that The Thursday Murder Club - based on Richard Osman's bestselling cosy crime book series - has gone to the top of the film chart.
Millions of fans of the books have awaited the film version with its topnotch cast and have pre-ordered the fifth instalment - The Impossible Fortune - due out on September 25.
The film, staying true to the novel, is set in Cooper's Chase retirement village where the Jigsaw Room is a hive of activity on Thursday afternoons.
