An artist's impression of the ice rink planned for Lytham this Christmas. It is hoped that the rink will be in place after November's lights switch-on

The festive features are highlights of plans by local business leaders and councils to make it a real Christmas to remember in the area.

Lytham Business Partnership chair Suzanne Taylor said: “Our big news for 2025 is that plans have been put into Fylde Council to host an ice rink in Clifton Square.

“The proposed bespoke real ice rink would be put in place after the Christmas lights switch-on and be open to the public from Saturday, November 22 to Sunday, January 4, 2026.

“The town and the Lytham Christmas organisers await a planning decision on whether the ice rink can go ahead.
