There were so many kids they needed three works parties

HOW many of us remember the days when the Black Country's countless large works and factories would put on a Christmas party for their workers' children?

We turn the clock back more than sixty years with these photographs that originally appeared in The Steel Casting, the works magazine of F.H. Lloyd and Co.

The company's main works were in Darlaston and these pictures were taken at the children's Christmas party, held in the staff canteen in the buildup to Christmas 1963.
