'Sewage' flies invades homes nearby

RESIDENTS claim swarms of flies from a nearby sewage treatment works have returned to terrorise their estate in the West Midlands.

Homeowners living on Kelverley Grove in West Bromwich claim the flies - known as 'window gnats' - have got into their cupboards, fridges... and even their food.
Residents claim the flies are coming from a nearby sewage treatment works operated by Severn Trent Water.
It is the latest incident involving the flies on the estate, with residents reporting the same issue back in 2023.
