ALTON TOWERS’ HALLOWEEN SCAREFEST HAS EARLY FESTIVE VIBES

- GRAEME BROWN

Xmas is FRIGHT round the corner!

Autumn scares at Alton Towers

AUTUMN is all about Halloween in our house - but visiting Alton Towers’ popular Scarefest left me with another vibe I wasn’t expecting - Christmas.

The much loved attraction goes big on Halloween every year - and Scarefest 2025 features what's being touted as its most terrifying scare maze yet.

We checked it out - and it was a memorable and unnerving experience - but the added bonus to heading to North Staffordshire for a bit of thrill-seeking at this time of the year is enjoying your favourite rides in the dark.

Alton Towers was open until 9pm on the day we visited and going on the likes of Smiler and THI3TEEN felt like a new experience.

Then there are the Christmas vibes - wondering around the vast site in twilight, grabbing snacks and mingling crowds, has a festive feel.
