Woman arrested as stolen puppy found under clothes

A WOMAN was arrested after police found a stolen puppy whimpering beneath a pile of clothes.

'Stechie' the tiny pup had been stuffed into a gap between a wall and a wardrobe, covered in clothes. But after a police hunt, he was returned home in time for Christmas.
The pet, pictured, was believed to have been taken by someone posing as an animal welfare officer in Bartley Green on December 19. On December 22, officers tracked him down to a Washwood Heath property and forced their way inside.
