SOLIHULL’S demanding start to the season continues tomorrow with a trip to Carlisle United, another of the National League's fancied sides.

Solihull have the WHIT to keep their opponents out

And they will be hoping to chalk up their first win of the campaign after being held to a second successive draw at Sutton United.

Chances were at a premium for the Moors at Gander Green Lane but they also restricted their opponents with another impressive defensive display, Alex Whitmore particularly catching the eye.

And it was the skipper who also went closest to snatching a win for Matt Taylor’s side.

The Moors started well enough with Dan Creaney, one of a raft of summer signings, looking lively and having a shot blocked inside five minutes.

But as the half wore on it was the south London outfit who began to take charge only to find the Solihull backline in fine form.
