Sex attacker dies just weeks into jail sentence

A SEX attacker who took advantage of a vulnerable woman died just weeks into his 15-year prison sentence.

Adam Benton, right, was handed the lengthy jail term in September 2024 after pleading guilty to eight charges relating to sexual activity with a vulnerable woman over 18.
The 51-year-old prisoner, who was from Walsall, died at HMP Stafford on January 15 this year.
An incident report by the Prisons and Probation Ombudsman (PPO) revealed he died from a high-grade glioma of brain, an aggressive type of brain cancer.
