Police road team nets drugs, cash and cars

COCAINE worth an estimated £5.4 million was discovered in a car which was stopped on the M5 by West Midlands Police’s new crime team.
The force's third Road Crime Team (RCT) targets criminals involved in serious and organised crime.
And last month, officers pursued, stung and boxed in a car on the M5, seizing 36kg of cocaine.
Officers also carried out a pursuit ending in Bearwood and followed a violent carjacking in Smethwick, when the suspect was charged.
The team also arrested a suspected organised crime group leader in Birmingham and safeguarded three vulnerable people thought to be exploited workers.
