THE next stage for an ambitious village centre regeneration has been given the backing of senior Solihull councillors.
The proposed community health and retail building for Kingshurst
A large-scale rejuvenation of central Kingshurst gained approval from planners in April 2022, with the original aim for it to be completed by 2026.
Phase one saw 25 social rented homes a mix of three and four-bed-room built on the site of the former Mountfort pub with residents moving in last year.
But phase two is set to be even more transformative with it set to include a new community, health and retail building; six new houses and a new vicarage.
