Ivan deal could be January goal for Villa boss

VILLA are believed to be weighing up an offer to lure Ivan Toney back to the Premier League in a bid to ease their attacking woes.

Toney scored 35 goals in 85 appearances for Brentford, helping them win promotion from the Championship.
The 29-year-old striker completed a shock move to Saudi Pro League side Al Ahli in August 2024, for a reported £40 million, winning the AFC Champions League in his first season.
Villa have struggled in front of goal this campaign, netting just six times, with only Nottingham Forest and Wolves scoring fewer, culminating in the club's worst start to a Premier League campaign since 1997-98.
Both parties, Villa and Toney, could strike a deal over a January loan move as Unai Emery ponders how to improve his frontline and Toney plans his route back to the England national team.
