Birmingham. In a world full of bowls and stiff stadiums, The Powerhouse has the potential to be an iconic centrepiece of a place that will change the landscape of Birmingham city centre.

The 12 chimneys that will be crucial to the stadium's structure are more than a subtle nod to the past.
Birmingham's roots are intertwined in the bricks that built houses and canals, now they will be present in a stadium that should become the beacon for the city.
But smoke won't billow from these chimneys like it did 100 years ago. These chimneys will be entrances and they will include escalators to transport people around The Powerhouse in the most sustainable way possible.
