Hit-and-run driver killed man & tried to frame someone else
Birmingham Mail
|November 11, 2025
A 'CALLOUS' hit-and-run driver fatally injured a man with 'a heart of gold' as he sped off from a failed drugs deal.
Aden Wright's VW Golf collided with Ryan Griffiths in Burleigh Road, Wolverhampton, on August 21 last year, leaving him lying motionless in the road.
Despite stopping to pick up a passenger, Wright drove off and left Ryan for dead.
Ryan, pictured right, was taken to hospital but, due to the extent of his injuries, he died two days later.
Wright went on to enlist the help of others to take the vehicle off the road and even tried to frame someone else for the crime.
Police launched a manhunt for Wright - the registered keeper of the vehicle - who was arrested within a week.
