Guns and £1m worth of drugs seized in sting

DRUGS with a street value of £1million were seized in a major police operation in Staffordshire.

The organised crime sting took place in the Tamworth area when addresses in Wilnecote, Perry Crofts and Polesworth were raided on Thursday.
Officers discovered around 70kg of ketamine during the bust, which is thought to be worth £1million.
Six people were arrested following the operation which also saw two firearms seized as well as £2,500 in cash.
Men aged 49, 38, 36, 31 and 20 and a 34-year-old woman, all from Tamworth, were detained.
