STREET'S TOILET WASTE COMING THROUGH PENSIONER'S BATHROOM FLOOR
A BIRMINGHAM pensioner has been stuck with the stench of raw sewage stench for nearly six months as she waits for water giant Severn Trent to fix the problem.
The 81-year-old first suffered sewage overflowing back into the bathroom at her Ward End home in January, caused by a backed-up blockage.
She said sewage had since regularly spilled onto her driveway and the pavement near her Alum Rock Road address.
The problem worsened earlier this month when a defect appeared in the road, believed to have been caused by part of the sewer system collapsing.
