Deadly weapons aimed at kids on our streets

DEADLY weapons are being sold online with no questions asked for as little as £1.90 in the midst of the UK's knife crime crisis.

As part of the Birmingham Mail's Deep Cuts investigation - a three month probe delving into the root of knife crime - we tried three different websites online to see how easy it is to purchase potentially lethal blades.

Two of the sites, Amazon and Knife-warehouse.co.uk, both needed ID to be uploaded to provide proof we were over 18.

However, within a quick search for 'knives' on popular site Shein the first hit brought up a range of small, but sharp 'multi-colour' blades seemingly aimed at children for just £1.90 each. Chillingly the same price as a bag of sweets.

When the knives arrived, they were simply posted through the door in a branded Shein bag and left in the hallway on the floor. No tracking, no ID needed, not even a knock to confirm who I was.
