Centre back rues Blues loan move that 'didn't go to plan'

EIRAN Cashin admits his loan with Birmingham City 'didn't really work out as much as I wanted' after his time at St Andrew's was cut short.
The centre back arrived at Blues in the summer on what was supposed to be a season-long loan from Brighton.
However, he struggled to break into Chris Davies’ team - and when the door did open a couple of rusty and error-strewn performances against Coventry City and Sheffield Wednesday meant he barely played for another two months.
Injuries and suspensions saw him called upon to make just his second and third Championship starts over the Christmas period - but by then a decision to terminate the deal seemed inevitable. And so it proved as Cashin was recalled by his parent club and immediately reallocated to Blackburn Rovers.
