BLUES tasted defeat in the Championship for the first time this season on Friday night after going down 2-0 at Leicester.

Blues starve in attack but Foxes live off FAT of land!

The recently-relegated Foxes are among the favourites for promotion, having won the second-tier title two years ago, and put down a marker at the King Power Stadium.

The dangerous Abdul Fatawu set Leicester on their way with a left-footed pearler before substitute Ricardo Pereira made the game safe in the 88th minute. Here are the talking points.

Now you can get punished

There is an argument that neither goal would have been scored in League One but the first, whipped into the top corner by Fatawu, isn’t the type of finish third-tier players are capable of.

He would be a good bet for some Premier League teams and, if Leicester keep him, he undoubtedly holds the key to their chances of a topflight return.

The goal was totally avoidable from a defensive point of view. Ethan Laird should have intercepted what looked like a fairly aimless infield pass and Paik Seung-ho didn’t cover himself in glory, but the finish was sublime.

Chance creation is a small concern

Chris Davies' Blues side have rarely created dozens of chances in a game, what they have been in his tenure is an efficient, cohesive machine who have more often than not suffocated the opposition with pass after pass.
